Finding The Rhythm
The Friday Newsletter thinks about hitting its stride
For a good part of my 30s, I obsessed about the things I wanted to accomplish before I turned 40.
I was going to travel the world. I was going to complete an Ironman triathlon. I was going to publish a book. I was going to—well, you get the picture.
I have a tendency to overshoot in goal-setting, and it turns out that I may have overshot a little. I’ve got a few book ideas that I “just need to find the time to work on”, I am distinctly not in Ironman shape, and I haven’t been out of the country in longer than I’d like to admit.
But I’m not upset.
In fact, I’m very happy with where I am in life.
I turn 40 tomorrow, and though I haven’t hit those milestones, I’m quite blessed. I have a beautiful family, a good job, two lovely children and two hilarious dogs. I have the greatest creative outlet that anyone could ask for in this newsletter, and the greatest readers in the world supporting me in it. (That’s you!)
