We’ve all gotten pretty accustomed to schedule changes these days.
The concert I was scheduled to go to a few weeks ago is in April now. I’ve known people who’ve punted weddings multiple times over the course of two years. Big-budget movie releases keep being delayed, we had that one weird NBA Finals in October… I could go on, but you get the idea.
Nothing’s going on the calendar in pen, is what I’m saying.
So, we’re going to just have to admit it: Valentine’s Day needs to move this year.
Thanks to the NFL awkwardly jamming a 17th game into their regular-season schedule, the Super Bowl—which had already crept from the end of January to the first week of February in the past two decades—is now on February 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day.
That’s too much for one weekend.
