Feels strange to pay someone to wreck you emotionally every week and yet here I am. :)

Might be because I'm in a bit of a sleep deprevied vulnerable state (2nd kid, 3 months old, not sleeping through the night right now) but this genuinely made me tear up a bit (in a good way!)

My eldest is 4, soon going to school, and it's a big mix of incredible/bittersweet/heartwarming seeing him grow more confident (and rebelious) as he goes from toddler to schoolkid :)

There's some saying that some things become cliches because they are true. Parenthood is like that. Terrifying, thrilling, hilarious, exhausting, humbling, exalting...sometimes all in the course of one jump from a diving board. It is both forever and just yesterday since I carried my tired little boy as he hugged my neck. He's 24 now and planning to get married in November.

Once again I'm all emotional and having a hard time getting work done on a weekday morning. These ones ought to come with a disclaimer at the top or something haha. Bravo.

It might not click for everyone, but I felt like using the title of a Jason Isbell song as my subject line was as close as I've come to a warning label

Warning labels:

Isbell songs, certain Disney movie titles ("Up", "Dumbo", "Old Yeller")

Good thing I'm home from work today. Won't have to hide in the bathroom to get myself back together emotionally after this emotional mail bomb.
