Given the differentials in vaccine hesitancy between men and women, I thought you were going to advocate an actual Lysistrata -- which also may be a good idea, now that we mention it.
During the NCAA tournament, I asked about the feasibility of walking into Buffalo Wild Wings locations and shooting vaccine blow darts at people. But tasers might help too.
This one hit a nerve. We have a baby who obviously can't get the shot yet. My wife's mom has gone full anti-vax conspiracy theorist while still wanting all kinds of time around the baby. I can't remember a more frustrating scenario.
Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still appropriately nervous about my kids (and eagerly eyeing the 2-and-up approval that's supposedly coming in September), but at least the grandparents are all vaxxed.
My friend's 9yo is legit mad she can't get the shot yet. I'm concerned she's going to steal a car and break into a CVS to get a vaccine before the younger approvals come in.
Imagine "Be a booster, get a booster" billboards with pictures of Saban, Dabo, Orgeron, Jimbo, etc plastered on every interstate across the land hammering home this idea.
Hell, if Saban came out tomorrow and said, "Don't be a dumbass. If you don't get vaccinated, don't come around our program or to our games" then the entire state of AL alone would be vaccinated by Memorial Day. Everyone else would follow suit, except maybe Tennessee.
As much as I like this plan, I don't like the student athletes being used. They are already getting the short end of the stick and maybe that stick should be used on someone else in that ecosystem, threaten the federal money schools and states are getting. They'll figure out how not not to cancel a sport season as a pressure point in the state populous. And really who wants to the governor if a rival wins a championship because you couldn't get people vaccinated. The witch-hunt for the anti-vaxxers would be swift if say Michigan could claim a victory and a championship because Ohio failed to reach 70%, and that pains me to type but dammit that's the level of threat I'd put in a PSA.
They could even rebrand it if that helps. Kentucky did that with the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) when they launched Kynect and it was quite popular. At this point ANYTHING to get people to take the vaccine should be on the table.
I am low key mad that the New Jersey beer giveaway is only for getting the shots starting May 1. I would have turned several weekends into road trips around the state to sample my free beer at many breweries.
I'm still just a little disappointed that, while everyone else was getting vaxxed at Fenway Park or under the American Museum of Natural History blue whale, I got mine at two chain pharmacies.
I had to drive to a Walgreens 30 minutes away to get mine, and now my stop n shop has a guy begging people to get vaccinated like the 'my children need wine!' ticket seller at Euro Krusty Land.

Also, this is pure gold: "If you wanted to let one little prick stand in the way of you winning a championship, you would’ve hired Tommy Tuberville."
I swear this line wasn't why I started writing this post, but I was really happy with myself when I got there.
I came on here solely to say the exact same thing.
This can be a multi-faceted approach.
This is better, but less fun, than my "tase the anti-vax" proposal. Turns out I'm not authorized to reenact Scanners. Yet.

Why not both?
I've thought a lot about vaccine blow darts. I'll happily volunteer my time as an administer
[putting on camo face paint] let's public health

With a 9 year old girl, that's not an idle concern.
She is deeply chaotic.
as a father of a 4-1/2 year old chaos emerald daughter, we stan a wild card
Finally, Boston College, UMass And UConn can run amok in the AP rankings and UMaine can make the jump to FBS.
There has been a drought of national championships up in this region.
4 weeks is a long time.
PUT PITT IN
[David Byrne voice] my god... what have I done?
This idea means my Buffalo Bulls could win a natty, which I whole heartedly endorse.

you'd have to give them all Pfizer though because they wouldn't take _oderna

I love it. Let's do it.

I'm hoping that once I get Dose 2 on Thursday, I'll be able to redeem my gift card for Jose Andres's restaurants.
I'm not at all mad I've been vaccinated for a while but that was a little bit of a blow
That's another one I wish I could take advantage of!
