Kinda disappointed that the recipes were not converted to Roman numerization, but I doubt anyone wants to attempt math while brewing a cocktail.
Please stop posting fascinating books, some of us are already horribly behind on reading the books they've already bought, and we don't need any help in growing the backlog.
Congrats on 250! That’s a huge milestone (and a ton of words written).
Your mention of Ozomatli brought me back to playing an annual show at UCSB where the lineup, in order, that day was as follows:
Black Eyed Peas
Pressure 4-5 (my nu metal band that wasn’t even signed yet)
Ozomatli
Social Distortion
Years later, it would’ve been insane for a promoter to not only sandwich our band in between Black Eyed Peas and Ozomatli, but to put Ozomatli on AFTER Black Eyed Peas.
When I was in high school, a family moved into my little PA neighborhood from New Mexico, and I developed a crush on the son who rode my bus and was in my Spanish class. He turned me down when I asked him to homecoming, but he did give me a copy of the Ozomatli CD, and “Cumboa de los Muertos” and “Chango” are still on my playlists. Thanks for the throwback!
Happy 250th! Thanks for all the fun you bring in this little newsletter community. It's been a HUGE bright spot this year. When the husband and I eat blanks in a piglet this weekend while absolutely nothing else of note is happening, we'll raise one to you. :)
And YES a million times to Ozomatli! I went to the 1998 Warped Tour in Orlando, and while they were a Warped band that year, they did not play the Orlando date and I was crushed. "Cumbia de los Muertos" is a perennial jam.
I will always associate Ozomatli with football because their song "Saturday Night" was part of the Madden 2005 soundtrack, which then led to my beloved and horrible Illini playing it during warmups at every football game during my undergrad career.
I want to win a box. Is one permitted to enter more than once? The form seems to allow it, in which case I will spend my morning submitting entries. I may be wrong about the form, though.
a highlight of 2019 was spending a summer afternoon at noble beat brewing in CLE (https://www.noblebeastbeer.com/) then seeing chali 2na at the rock hall.
Rather than answering emails this morning I was looking up a Korean chicken wing recipe to enjoy on a random Sunday of no consequence. That pizza looks like a wonderful complement.
The book looks like a wonderful choice as well. Fandom can ask you to compromise on your beliefs often.
In the event I win a box, AC, I’m the kosher guy, so I can’t have anything with non-kosher meat. Just in case you were gonna send me jerky that would make Holly jealous.
Happy CCLth, Cooker Booker!

Cousin Greg is hands-down the best character on Succession.

So, hypothetically, if one was not the winner of the box, what would one have to do to get a sticker?
I can personally vouch for the Charleston Punch. Have made it multiple times - I usually halve it. It is dangerously delicious.
I'm using gochujang for more and more stuff recently. Never thought of it for pizza. I'm not sure how I feel about that
