And (as of Tuesday morning) we've got our first correct guess! Don't stop hunting now, though--there's still a good chance to rack up points if you guess right, too!
The good news is that my my being bad at solving riddles is exceeded by my ignorance of defining features of US cities, so I’ve got two solid reasons to not worry about failing these weekly tests
Multiple guesses are welcome/encouraged! I mean, don't just guess every restaurant in America, but this should be enough of a challenge that I'll be surprised if anyone gets it on the first try.
I know I'm gonna wake up and read this recipe here some Friday anyway. And all I can say is that I look forward to seeing how you incorporate the goetta.
If you use Substack's app or the website, it's their short-form messaging client / Twitter alternative. https://substack.com/notes
I ended up posting the extra clue across my socials today (and updating the post to include it), which I'll probably keep doing since I know some people won't want to hop on another social network.
Question received via email: "Does Glen from Cincinnati visit restaurants that have multiple locations? If so do we need to specify which one we think he is at?"
No chains here, and if he accidentally picks a place with multiple locations, either will count.
I should have asked this prior to submitting my answer. I knew deep down it had to be the case, and yet I thought my answer fit decently enough. Oh well.

This is far more important than anything I planned on doing at work today. This madman must be stopped.
That's the spirit!

History's greatest monster? Not Glen, you.
I’m just a patsy.
I love this so much. Actual tears laughing at the song
I was glad my wife and kids were out of the house when I was working on that part.
Is glen related to John from Cincinnati? If so he’s gonna get canceled after a few episodes
Can guesses be revised as new hints come out later in the week, or does it lock with the first submission?

/writes python script to email Scott every 60 seconds a random restaurant name from 1 star yelp reviews.
Oooooo this is going to be FUN
"Cincinnati-Style Gumbo”

If Chili is curry, is gumbo also curry?
I am pleased and regret to inform you that Chicago-style gumbo exists, kind of. We talked about it on last night’s sickos committee pod.
I need Emeril to go on a rant about Chicago gumbo like Jon Stewart did about deep dish pizza
I’m only upset that you lost the pun in “From the Red Sea to Greenland they’ll be/singin’ the blues”.
If I may: From Reading to Green Bay they’ll be/singin’ the blues.
The dogs had to hear me singing along to Rockapella enough yesterday as it was. But you’re right, that is better.
Bad time to have been on vacation on Monday.
Also what/where is Substack Notes?

First off, rude to mention Detroit in that song twice lol.
Secondly, that's just a sketch of Spilly. You can't fool me!
listen it's not *supposed* to be
are you going to tell us when the first correct answer is off the board? also this is soooo fun!
Yes, I will! Also I can reveal that no one has come close yet, so Glen's additional clues throughout the week are probably going to be essential.
I will not take the slander of the glorious Seattle Dog!
Unreasonably excited by this.

As I noted in response to another question--multiple guesses are welcome!
